Job Summary

Perform specialized and day to day accounting activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile ACH Debits and Credits
  • Process loan entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Maintain subsidiary records including payables, receivables, depreciation, pre-paids and accruals
  • Process member payrolls and resolve issues and exceptions
  • Manage and reconcile money order supply
  • Research and resolve member and staff issues in a timely manner
  • Process ACH origination
  • Process IRS backup withholding notices and payment processing
  • Balance cash accounts daily including verification of wire transfers
  • Process accounts payable and resolve any vendor issues
  • Assist in reconciling fixed asset and prepaid accounts
  • Process staff and officials employee expense reports
  • Assist in processing investment accrual transactions
  • Assist in improving departmental operating processes and procedures
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures within Accounting Department
  • Cross train within department to perform backup to other positions
  • Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office products to complete daily tasks

Minimum Required Experience

  • Prior banking/credit union experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in related field

Loan Officer

Job Summary

Our Loan Officers understand that "bad things happen to good people" and are empowered to think outside the box to help our member's fulfill their financial dreams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify members' loans and savings needs and provide solutions
  • Articulate to members the benefits and features of Credit Union products and services
  • Establish new member accounts and relationships
  • Accurately process loan and deposit documents in accordance with underwriting guidelines
  • Articulate interest calculations on deposit and loan products
  • Interview loan applicants and process application to completion
  • Promote and demonstrate electronic services
  • Assist members with credit analysis and basic budgeting issues
  • Identify mortgage loan referrals and refer to Mortgage Department
  • Demonstrate financial planning skills
  • Cultivate teamwork with supporting staff for referrals
  • Consistently achieve individual loan and deposit goals as set forth by management
  • Generate sales by initiating leads identified by using data base or other non-lobby traffic resources
  • Proactively follow up on additional sales opportunities
  • Coach and mentor supporting staff to refer business
  • Proactively report on business development activities

Minimum Required Experience

Prior banking/credit union experience and/or sales experience highly preferred.

Technology Specialist

Job Summary

Troubleshoot day to day computer and networking issues to ensure all employees and systems are working to their full potential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing and securing network systems
  • Research and provide timely follow-up on IT issues
  • Installation of PC upgrades and applicable software
  • Diagnosing and resolving network/PC related issues
  • Generate system reports
  • Generate and transmit electronic files
  • Monitor host system back-ups
  • Monitor scheduled system processes
  • Maintain phone system
  • Maintain network/PC-based security patches
  • Maintain anti-virus and networking monitoring systems
  • Assist with help desk calls
  • Assist with Core interfaces
  • Assist in maintaining, testing and executing Disaster Recovery Policies and Procedures
  • Support intranet and web based applications

Minimum Required Experience

  • Prior banking/credit union experience preferred
  • Current Certifications in IT-related fields or equivalent experience
